SImple word problems

  1. one number exceeds another by 8, and their sum is 26; find them.
  2. the sum of two angles of a triangle is 48 degrees, and their difference is 22 degrees, find the third angle?
  3. if a number is multiplied by 5, and then 4 is taken away, the result is 31; find the number.
  4. if 3 be taken from a number, and the result multiplied by 8, the product is 96; find the number.
  5. I thought of a number, doubled it, then added 3. The result multiplied by 4 came to 52. What was the number I thought of?
  6. divide Rs 67 between A, B and C, So that A may have Rs 15 more than B, and B Rs. 8 more than C.
