Show that a = 2 + 4 + 6 ...... 4002 + 2002 is a perfect square
Answer:
a = 2( 1 + 2 + 3 ...... 2001) + 2002
a = 2 x 2001 x 2002/ 2 + 2002
a = 2001 x 2002 + 2002
a = 2002 ( 2001 + 1)
a = 2002 x 2002
So, a is a perfect square
